President of the Federal Chamber of Lawyers (FBA) of Russia Svetlana Volodina and chairman of the commission of the FBA Council for the Protection of Lawyers’ Rights Henry Reznik demanded an immediate criminal investigation into the attack on journalist Elena Milashina and lawyer Alexander Nemov in Grozny. “We are outraged by the attack on lawyer Alexander Nemov and journalist Elena Milashina for their professional activities. “They said that there was no reason for you to come here, work at home, you don’t need to protect anyone here. They said that they allegedly warned me when they organized an outdoor scene for me earlier – it was a warning, but now we will kill you, ”said the lawyer.
