The informants, he said, “provided the FBI with information of a criminal nature that relates to Joe Biden, James Biden and Hunter Biden,” the politician said. He added that the data was subsequently investigated by various territorial divisions of the FBI, including the office in Seattle.

However, as Grassley explained, an FBI task force in Washington tried to stop the process of obtaining information from informants by falsely discrediting their data as foreign disinformation, in some cases successfully. Such actions led to a halt in the investigation surrounding the family of the US President.

But despite this, there was still a case when the data of one of the informants was checked by several prosecutors, who considered it reliable and not related to “Russian disinformation,” the senator said. He received this information after contacting the prosecutor’s office and the FBI.

“Based on information my office has received over several years from various and reliable informants, it appears that the Department of Justice and the FBI are attempting to suppress the investigation into the Biden family. Such decisions indicate the presence of significant political bias in decision-making not only at the level of the Attorney General and Director of the FBI, but also by ordinary agents and investigators. Our republic cannot survive such a political infection, it is your responsibility to clarify your position,” Grassley wrote in the letter.

One of the key accusations, the channel continues, concerns data that the Biden family was involved in a corruption scheme around the Ukrainian energy company Burisma, of which Hunter Biden was a member of the board of directors. According to informants, Joe, who at that time was the vice president of the United States, and Hunter Biden forced the owner of Burisma Nikolai Zlochevsky to pay them millions of dollars in exchange for getting the resignation of the then prosecutor of Ukraine Viktor Shokin, who was investigating the company .
