The FBI confirmed the presence of documents about a possible bribe to Biden

The FBI has documents that the US Congress is requesting as part of an investigation into an alleged bribe to US President Joe Biden during his tenure as vice president of the country. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer made the announcement on Twitter.

“Today, FBI Director Christopher Wray confirmed the existence of form FD-1023 alleging the involvement of then Vice President Biden in a criminal foreign bribery scheme,” he wrote.

According to the congressman, the secret service refused to submit documents to the House of Representatives. Instead, the FBI director invited lawmakers to inspect the documents in person at FBI headquarters. Comer concluded by threatening to file charges against the agency if it refuses to submit documents to the House of Representatives.

Later, the congressman said that he was developing a bill to hold FBI Director Christopher Ray accountable “for contempt of Congress.”

CNN writesthat Form FD-1023, which the FBI uses, documents the whistleblower’s claims but does not contain evidence to support his claims. Comer claims that the form in question states that a certain foreigner paid $5 million in exchange for making “desired political decisions.”

The White House called the congressman’s accusations “stupid charade” and “political tricks” aimed at “spreading subtle insinuations and lies to attack the president.” According to White House spokesman Ian Sams, Comer acknowledged that “this is not about revealing the facts, but about trying to harm the president’s rating.”

In early May, a group of Republican congressmen, including Comer, sent a letter to the FBI claiming they had information about Biden’s possible involvement in corruption schemes as vice president. In this regard, the congressmen demanded to provide the secret service with an open report on the criminal scheme, which, the Republicans emphasized, is known to the FBI.
