The program “The Future Waits for Us” could not have been chosen for the terrorist attack by chance

On Friday evening at Crocus City Hall, the Picnic group was going to show an unusual program – “The future awaits us. New dimension.” It seems that the terrorists took advantage of the bright title when choosing a place for a terrorist attack. “MK” found out what was planned on the stage of the concert hall and collected comments from people who miraculously managed to survive.

Edmund Shklyarsky’s rock band had already played such a concert, but this time it was to be accompanied by the Tauride Symphony Orchestra under the direction of People’s Artist of Kabardino-Balkaria, conductor Mikhail Golikov. The program begins with special effects: an image of a robot appears on the screen, which says: “The future awaits us. The future is bright.” Then, against the backdrop of special effects, the group performs new and old songs. Several thousand people gathered at Crocus City Hall to see the show with their own eyes.

The shooting began a few minutes before the concert, when the musicians were in the dressing room and the audience was taking their seats in the hall. Dozens of dead and more than a hundred wounded were reported. Many were saved by a miracle. Those who managed to survive write under the group’s post with condolences about what happened.

Elena Solobeva: “Guys, we were there! It’s a miracle that we got out! The kingdom of heaven to all the lost! Condolences to the family! To everyone who survived this hell, I wish health, love and happiness with all my soul and heart! God bless you!!!”

Hellenka Melian, a longtime fan of the group, writes: “March 22 is now our second birthday. We managed to run out. Condolences to the families of the dead and injured”

Tutor Adelina Suloeva accidentally missed the concert: “We bought 2 tickets in advance. I waited and planned. It’s stupid, but in fact the graduates (students) asked for lessons, and I, as a tutor, could not refuse. It’s just a matter of chance. The tickets were “burnt”, but the tragedy of the situation does not let go. I am incredibly sorry for everyone who, by chance, got into political crap, I feel bad for the lives of those not involved. Sorry, today I’m the most resilient person, I’ll go write to mom and dad how much I love them.”

Anna Berekova: “People who were there and helped a woman and a boy in a wheelchair! Thank you very much! You are people with a capital letter! May everything be fine with you, such horror will never happen again to you or your loved ones! And if you suddenly have any difficulties, then let them help you in the same way! You are our savior angels! Thank you”.

On her page she describes the details of what happened: “I was afraid of a crowd that would run in panic and might trample. But in today’s horror, when people were running up the stairs to save their lives, they not only did not trample us, but also helped us down. A woman shouted to her husband to help, and he rushed to the rescue. Then another man grabbed his son from the other side and helped him get to the 1st floor. Then another young couple at the exit from Crocus – the man helped push the stroller, the girl, seeing that I was ready to burst into tears, took my hand and calmed me down. Another woman gave her son a stole, seeing that he was wearing a shirt in the cold. The biggest miracle is that people, not really knowing what was happening, where these devils with machine guns are and how many of them there are, knowing that because of the delay they themselves could get hurt, still rushed to our aid!”

Maria Korelova: “The man who raised me and didn’t let me die, thank you very much.”
