Pumpkin seeds have a positive effect on a man’s life expectancy, said doctor and TV presenter Alexander Myasnikov.
Speaking on the air of the program “About the Most Important” on the channel “Russia 1”, he noted that pumpkin seeds in large quantities contain the most important elements for men, selenium and zinc.
According to him, in states and regions experiencing a deficiency of selenium and zinc, the life expectancy of men is 2-3 years less.
Among the beneficial properties of zinc, Myasnikov noted a positive effect on the functioning of the heart and the preventive effect of prostate cancer. He also recommended taking selenium not in supplements, but from food.
