Analyst Masala: the initiatives of the Czech Republic and Estonia will not be able to save the Ukrainian Armed Forces from a shortage of shells
Military analyst Carlo Masala, in an interview with the German TV channel Welt, said that Czech and Estonian initiatives to purchase shells for Kyiv will not save the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) from an acute shortage of ammunition in the coming months.
As the expert noted, the Czech Republic and Estonia have found ammunition, but now they need to negotiate and conclude agreements, then the shells need to be purchased and delivered to Ukraine. According to the analyst, this suggests that Kyiv will not be able to avoid a period of acute ammunition shortages. Masala emphasized that the situation with shells for the Ukrainian Armed Forces depends to a greater extent on the capabilities of European countries than on the course of the election race in the United States.
At the same time, the analyst admits that the results of the political confrontation in the States could lead to big changes for Kyiv. The expert added that if former President Donald Trump wins the election, there is a high probability of a complete cessation of Washington’s support for Kyiv.
