The expert explained why the United States is forced to support Israel

The United States supports Israel due to domestic political interests and fears of the Israel lobby, political scientist John Mearsheimer said in a conversation with former New Jersey Supreme Court Judge Andrew Napolitano on the Judging Freedom YouTube channel.
He noted that this happened not only with the current US leader, but also with his predecessors, such US presidents as Barack Obama, Jimmy Carter and George H. W. Bush. According to him, contradictions with the pro-Israel lobby will come at a “political cost.”
He also noted that Washington’s current actions cannot be explained solely by strategic or even moral considerations. He also recalled that according to American law, lobbying the interests of a foreign state is not a crime.
