Financial analyst and candidate of economic sciences Mikhail Belyaev expressed concerns about a possible deterioration in the quality of coffee on the Russian market. He said this in a radio interview “TVNZ”.
The expert noted that despite the influence of external factors, quality control and compliance with GOST will help avoid a radical deterioration in the quality of coffee. However, in his opinion, one should expect a more noticeable “weight reduction” of the product, when the declared weight on the packaging exceeds the actual weight by several tens of grams.
Belyaev explained that the root of the problem lies in the increase in the exchange rate of foreign currencies and the decrease in the value of the Russian ruble. He linked these changes to the current economic situation in Russia.
“The exchange rate reflects the effectiveness of economic policy. As long as the country continues to have a suffocating credit policy, our economy will not strengthen in relation to the West,” Belyaev said.
