Former Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte called a telephone conversation between the current head of the country’s government, Giorgi Meloni, and Russian pranksters Vovan (Vladimir Kuznetsov) and Lexus (Alexey Stolyarov) a “failure on a planetary scale.” He announced this in a video posted on Facebook (owned by the Meta corporation, recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).

“It was even more unacceptable to discover that our prime minister is talking about the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and describing it in terms that are completely opposite to those that she used the other day in parliament. That is, she gives a completely different description of the conflict from what she gives to the Italians, public opinion and representatives of the people. She admits that she sees no other way out but negotiations, and that this is the only solution to a conflict that could last for years,” he said (quote according to RIA Novosti).

According to Conte, Melanie, in a conversation with Vovan and Lexus, for the first time revealed the truth that she had never told the people of Italy. He also noted that it was disappointing to “learn that government security protocols can be bypassed and hacked in such an egregious manner.”

Earlier, pranksters published a video with fragments of a telephone conversation with the current Italian Prime Minister Meloni, who spoke about fatigue from the Ukrainian conflict and problems with the growing number of illegal migrants arriving by sea. During their conversation with her, Vovan and Lexus introduced themselves as a high-ranking American official.

This is not the first conversation between pranksters and European politicians. In particular, on October 11, they published a prank on their Telegram channel about Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen, whom they called “on behalf of one of the African politicians.” They discussed with her the situation in Ukraine, Finland’s entry into NATO, etc. In particular, Valtonen told how Finland “constantly defended itself from the Soviet Union” and is now spending money on defense against Russia. The minister also rejected the possibility of supplying Ukraine with fighter jets, since Finland “has obligations to NATO” and the country “must protect its own border.” After this, the Finnish Foreign Ministry began investigation into the incident.
