The Lefortovo Court of Moscow sentenced the former Minister of Tourism of North Ossetia Alan Diambekov and the former Prime Minister of North Ossetia Sergei Takoev to eight years in prison for large-scale embezzlement (Part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). “The court decided to find Diambekov guilty under Part 4 of Art. 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and sentence him to 8 years in a general regime colony, Takoyev was found guilty under Part 4 of Art. 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and sentence him to eight years in a general regime colony,” the judge announced the verdict. In addition, each defendant was given a fine of 800 thousand rubles.

Diambekov and Takoev were charged with embezzlement of 180 million rubles. when purchasing in 2014, when purchasing into the ownership of the republic the real estate of the Ossetian Automobile and Tractor Electrical Equipment Plant enterprise at an inflated price.
