Former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl, who danced at her own wedding to Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2018, has moved to the village of Petrushovo in the Ryazan region. There she is going to live at least until the end of the summer.

According to the Ryazan edition “Side view”a former Austrian official appeared at the “Top of Summer” holiday in Petrushovo and said that she had rented a house in this village.

“It was not easy to come here, but I try to find my way, although it is not easy. I like it here, this village is very nice. I started working, continue teaching and learning, writing my books, learning the language. I had to leave my old life, start all over again, and at the age of 60 it’s not easy, ”said Ms. Kneisl.

Speaking about her move, Karin Kneissl noted that she paid the rent of the house for a month. Whether she will stay in Petrushovo in the future, Mrs. Kneissl did not specify. “We’ll see next. I don’t know anything about my future, nothing,” she added.

From February 2021 to May 2022, Karin Kneissl served as a member of the board of directors – an independent director of Rosneft. In July 2022, the American newspaper The Washington Post published an article in which the diplomat was accused of being indirectly involved in organizing espionage in Austria for Russia.

In June 2023 Mrs. Kneisl did not rule outthat in the future he may apply to the Russian authorities with a request to obtain Russian citizenship. Before that, the ex-official is going to “learn Russian better” and “read “War and Peace””.
