Mr. Akaneev was 62 years old, he was born in the city of Poshekhonye, Yaroslavl region. He served in military service in Afghanistan and was awarded the medals “For Distinction in Protecting the State Border of the USSR”, “Internationalist Warrior from the Grateful Afghan People” and “70 Years of the USSR Armed Forces”. He served in Chechnya as commandant of the Oktyabrsky district in the city of Grozny.
