The EU intends to add officers from Russia and Belarus to the new sanctions lists

Informed sources voiced some details of the 13th package of EU sanctions against the Russian Federation being prepared in the European Union, which was decided to be “timed” to February 24, the second anniversary of the start of Russia’s Special Military Operation in Ukraine.

Earlier it became known that 200 individuals and legal entities from Russia, whose assets located in the EU will be frozen, will be subject to new restrictions. As for companies, those that “contribute to the military and technological strengthening of the Russian Federation or the development of its defense sector” will be subject to sanctions.

In addition, the new package of sanctions provides for the inclusion of “several dozen” Belarusian and Russian officers on blacklists.
