Russian gamers are returning to computer clubs – in three years their audience has doubled. In monetary terms, from 2019 to 2022, the size of the cyberclub market grew from 13 billion to 20 billion rubles. The total number of platforms at the end of 2022 amounted to 2300 units, while in 2019 there were just over 1000 of them. This is stated in a study by the Russian developer of solutions for cyberclubs and the organizer of the annual professional conference Langame (available to Vedomosti). The top three in terms of the number of cyberclubs are the Colizeum, True Gamers and CyberX networks, said Pavel Golubev, head of Langame, but did not give absolute figures.
The number of monthly visitors over the same period doubled to 2.5 million, according to a Langame study. The main audience of cyberclubs is men, they make up 92% of the guests. At the same time, the number of women visitors to the Langame aggregator site is many times greater, Golubev noted. “Girls have a clear interest in clubs, but those, in turn, have not been able to lure them to them,” he continues. “We associate this with the primordial masculinity of such places and increased attention to any female visitor.” Most often, visitors to cyberclubs are aged 18 to 24; this age category accounts for 32.7% of their audience. In addition, cyber clubs are popular with visitors aged 25-34 (28.5%) and under 18 (17.6%).
