“The enemies appreciated”: the Russian army used a new “miracle bomb” in Ukraine

The Russian army has begun to use a new type of “flying bomb” in Ukraine – UMPB D-30SN, which stands for Universal Interspecific Glide Ammunition (in some sources – a bomb) with a diameter of 30 cm. This is reported by the authoritative telegram channel Fighterbomber.
According to the channel, the ammunition is essentially a 30-centimeter pipe into which they managed to stuff control and satellite homing units, wings and more than a hundred kilograms of explosives.
The bomb can be dropped not only by aircraft, but also by a MLRS of the Tornado-S type, or by another rocket system that launches projectiles with a diameter of 30 cm. This is indicated by the definition “Interspecific” in the name of the ammunition.
“In the case of use with the Tornado, a jet engine is attached to it, we charge a full cassette of them and hit the enemy, essentially getting a rocket at the output,” the source writes.
At the moment, aviation uses a model of ammunition without an engine, but most likely this will be corrected in the near future.
“Well, yes, according to reviews from the Ukrainian military, the tests are going quite successfully,” writes Fighterbomber.
