Excessive consumption of tangerines is fraught with problems, endocrinologist Zukhra Pavlova wrote in her Telegram channel.
She noted that eating tangerines increases the acidity of gastric juice, which can be harmful to health, especially in the presence of diseases such as ulcers or gastritis.
“Tangerine juice has an aggressive effect on tooth enamel, gradually destroying it,” she wrote, recommending immediately brushing your teeth and rinsing your mouth immediately after eating both tangerines and citrus fruits in general.
Pavlova also indicated that this product is a strong allergen. Another unpleasant side effect of tangerines is excessive appetite and bloating. She also noted the large amount of sugar in tangerines.
