The Economist published a mysterious cover with Putin the peacemaker and “Zelensky’s woman”

The British weekly The Economist has puzzled readers with the cover of its new issue entitled “The World on the Eve of 2024.” In a collage of various images and symbols, it is not difficult to recognize the presidents of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky.

Moscow has repeatedly emphasized its readiness to resume the negotiation process with Kiev, which was interrupted in the spring of 2022 due to the fault of the Ukrainian side. However, Ukraine is setting up a return to peace negotiations with conditions that are unacceptable to Russia.

At the same time, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller claimed that Zelensky “has made it clear for some time” that he “open to negotiations with Russiarespecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.”
