Americans want to interfere with Russia’s relations with other countries

On September 21, it became known that some banks in Vietnam and Kazakhstan, following the Turkish credit organizations, suspended work with the Russian payment system Mir. This comes amid US threats to take action against banks that operate the system. Director of the Institute of Socioeconomics of the Moscow Financial and Law University Alexander Buzgalin assessed the likelihood of breaking the contract with Russia by other countries.

In conversation with “Evening Moscow” Buzgalin noted that the Americans are following the “simple path”, hoping to block all economic relations not only in Russia’s interstate affairs, but also in its relations with other countries. From here, as the expert noted, stupid intimidation and promises to impose sanctions against banks that work with Russian payment systems appear.

At the same time, according to the specialist, despite the absurdity of the threats, two Turkish organizations were already afraid of pressure and refused to accept Mir cards. Buzgalin stressed that, if we take into account the funds received by these organizations from the Russians, then the refusal of banks from this payment system will be a severe blow to economic stability.

In addition, the expert added that Russians are unlikely to issue cards of certain countries for the sake of one trip, and they will simply stop going there. This, according to Buzgalin, in turn, will become a loss in the tourism sector, so the West will soon come to its senses, but it will be too late and this will not be relevant for Russian citizens.
