The ECHR ordered Russia to pay compensation to Pussy Riot

The European Court of Human Rights has announced a decision on the complaint of members of the punk band Pussy Riot against the ban on their registration by the Russian non-profit organization Zone of Law. Relevant document published on the ECHR website.
The ECHR ruled to recover more than 24 thousand euros in compensation from Russia in favor of the group members.
Pussy Riot’s complaint stated that Russian authorities refused to register the NGO Zone of Law, which was supposed to provide legal assistance to prisoners.
