A member of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection, Veronika Vlasova, made a proposal according to which she proposed allowing women to carry out an artificial termination of pregnancy if both the mother and father of the child agree with this decision. We are talking about those couples whose marriage is officially registered.
She clarified that these changes can be made to the law “On the fundamentals of protecting the health of citizens in the Russian Federation.”
“Any woman and family independently decide the issue of having a child. After pre-abortion counseling, an artificial termination of pregnancy is possible. This should happen if not only the mother, but also the father agrees. It is also necessary to have the consent of one of the parents when a minor is pregnant,” Vlasova clarified.
