State Duma deputies adopted in the third reading amendments, extending the opportunity for participants in combat operations in Ukraine to take credit holidays until the end of 2024. Amendments were made to the second reading of the bill on the termination of obligations under surety agreements for SVO participants who died or received a first group disability.
At a meeting of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market, Committee Chairman Anatoly Aksakov said that it was decided to extend the measures for another year, since hostilities continue. Now combatants and members of their families can receive credit holidays on all consumer loans and loans issued before mobilization or the start of participation in hostilities.
The amendments also allow the termination of a serviceman’s obligations under surety agreements in the event of his death during a military operation in Ukraine, or later as a result of an injury or illness received during this period, as well as in the event of a first group disability.
