The State Duma Committee on Education approved amendments to the second reading to the bill prohibiting schoolchildren from using gadgets during classes.
It is clarified that by the second reading the provision was removed from the bill according to which telephones can be used in cases provided for in the curriculum, in which it is necessary to directly access electronic sources. The head of the committee, Olga Kazakova, noted at the meeting that during classes, if necessary, school devices will be used, not personal ones.
According to the measure, telephones will only be accepted in situations involving danger to the life or health of children and employees of an educational institution. In addition, an amendment on the introduction of a compulsory technology lesson in primary and secondary classes appeared on the second reading.
