State Duma deputy from the Crimean region Mikhail Sheremet asked Ukraine to carefully look after the “Scythian gold”, since it will soon need to be transferred back to the peninsula.
Earlier it became known that the collection was brought to the territory of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra. The identification process will take place in the treasury of the National Museum of Ukraine.
According to the deputy, “Scythian gold” was actually stolen from Crimea and transferred to Ukraine. He called on the authorities of the neighboring state not to hide the collection and to take good care of it, since it will need to be transferred back to the peninsula. The cultural heritage of Russia will be returned to Crimean museums.
He noted that this transfer greatly damaged the reputation of the Allard Pearson Museum.
