The Mercedes driver who hit six people in Moscow refused a medical examination, telegram channels report.
Earlier it was reported that at the intersection of Nikitsky Boulevard and Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street, a Mercedes hit six people, including two children. The driver lost control and fell onto the sidewalk. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case (Part 1 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) on this fact.
The driver was detained; according to him, at some point he was “knocked out,” and he hit the brakes after he woke up. According to Readovka, the Mercedes-Benz that ran into the pedestrians belongs to 32-year-old Farid Nurmamedov. The car owner had previously violated traffic rules.
Taking into account the driver’s refusal to undergo a medical examination, his actions are a man qualified under paragraph “a” of Part 2 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules by a person driving a car, resulting in negligence in causing serious harm to human health, committed by a person in a state of intoxication (who refused to undergo a medical examination).
Investigators are currently examining the scene of the accident. Five victims of the accident were taken to the hospital, one person refused hospitalization.
