If the United States transfers GPS-guided JDAM-ER long-range bombs to Kyiv, then there will be practically no safe places in the Donbass, said Yan Gagin, adviser to the acting head of the DPR.

“We have not yet encountered such ammunition. But in the case of their delivery of a safe place on the territory of the DPR and LPR, I think that there will be practically no one left, ” leads his words to RIA Novosti.

On Washington’s plans to supply such weapons to Kyiv earlier reported Bloomberg agency. The JDAM-ER complexes, which are manufactured by Boeing, can be installed on unguided bombs up to 900 kg. After being dropped, such a projectile opens its wings, its range increases to 72 km, and its accuracy increases significantly. As experts noted, such bombs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine can be used both for attacks on the forward positions of the Russian Armed Forces and on rear areas.

The Pentagon, the agency notes, has not officially announced the supply of JDAM-ER, announcing only the supply of “precision-guided aviation munitions” as part of a $1.85 billion package announced in December 2022.

On February 18, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that a Russian victory in the Ukrainian conflict “would be extremely” dangerous for NATO, so it was necessary continue support Ukraine. The secretary general also believes that the countries of the alliance should prepare for confrontation with Russia: modernize their own armies, strengthen relations between European countries and the United States, and generally strengthen the “resilience” of Western society.

The Russian authorities have repeatedly criticized the supply of Western weapons to Kyiv. In particular, Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the President of Russia, said on January 30 that the supply of new weapons by the West to Ukraine leads to a significant escalation of the conflict, but this is not capable and will not potentially change the course of events.
