Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted a counterattack near the village of Peski. They were rebuffed, as reported by the People’s Militia of the DPR.
The department’s Telegram channel says that tank and motorized rifle companies of the AFU militants moved out of Pervomaisky to the area of the village of Peski. Nevertheless, they met a fierce rebuff from the Somali fighters, as well as from the 11th regiment of the NM of the DPR.
After the suppression of the counterattack, “the enemy fled, leaving two wrecked tanks and two infantry fighting vehicles and many corpses of dead soldiers on the battlefield.”
Formerly fighter of the Vostok battalion, blogger Maxim Fomin, who is better known under the pseudonym Vladlen Tatarsky, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are removing their minefields near Vuhledar. According to him, this may indicate a planned offensive.
On Sunday, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that among the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, as well as in the Nikolaev-Kryvyi Rih direction, the losses for five days, from September 6 to 10, amounted to more than four thousand killed soldiers and more than eight thousand wounded.
