The DPR announced the capture of the settlement of Bakhmutskoe

The armed forces of the Russian Federation liberated the village of Bakhmutskoye. This was reported by the DPR territorial defense headquarters in the Telegram channel.

“As of January 9, 2023, the RF Armed Forces liberated Bakhmutskoye on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic,” — says in the message.

Bakhmutskoye is located in the Soledar region, northeast of Artemovsk. Now for these cities, which are located in the part of the DPR controlled by Kyiv, there are fights.

On November 28, 2022, Denis Pushilin, acting head of the DPR, announced that Russian troops were close to the operational encirclement of Artemovsk. In early December, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated about the successful offensive in the Artemovsk region.

At the same time, Andrey Marochko, an officer of the People’s Militia of the LPR, citing intelligence data spokethat the APU received reinforcements. Pushilin later announced fierce fighting on the outskirts of Artemovsk.
