Russian troops have taken control of all the heights in the vicinity of Artemovsk (the Ukrainian name is Bakhmut), Igor Kimakovsky, adviser to the acting head of the DPR, said on the air of Solovyov Live.

According to Kikamosvsky, the supply of manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is possible only through one small corridor, which is also controlled by the Russian Federation.

Earlier on February 15, the founder of PMC “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin said that Artemovsk would Surrounded in March – April. On February 14, John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator at the White House National Security Council, allowed Ukrainian troops to retreat from Artemivsk. He added that the progress of the Russian army is “certainly true”, and said that he did not know how events would develop.

On February 7, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced that the Russian military freed seven settlements in the Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions during a special operation in Ukraine. We are talking about the settlements of Soledar, Kleshcheevka, Podgornoe, Krasnopolye, Blagodatnoe, Lobkovoe and Nikolaevka. According to the Minister of Defense, military operations are currently successfully developing in the areas of Ugledar and Artemovsk.

The Russian special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.
