Doctor and TV presenter Alexander Myasnikov urged not to give up meat by-products, noting that many of them are quite useful.
Speaking in the program “About the Most Important” on the Russia 1 TV channel, the doctor emphasized that offal is rich in vitamins.
For example, the liver contains iron that is well absorbed by the body, as well as vitamins of groups B and A. At the same time, Myasnikov recommended that pregnant women refrain from consuming the liver, due to the possible negative effect on the fetus of excess vitamin A.
In addition, the heart contains the antioxidant coenzyme Q10, vitamins A, B, and choline, which stimulates the brain.
Such an offal as the brain contains Omega-3 acids and selenium, which is important in terms of preventing oncology, strokes and heart attacks.
