Doctor Ulankina dispelled the myths that GMOs and sugar cause cancer
Medical expert Olga Ulankina dispelled rumors that GMOs and sugar cause cancer. In a conversation with Gazeta.Ru, the doctor called the belief that sweet foods cause cancer a myth.
According to the specialist, the amount of sweets consumed has nothing to do with the development of cancer.
However, you should not overindulge in sweets, because obesity may appear, which will subsequently provoke a tumor, the doctor warned.
It’s also impossible to get cancer from GMOs, the doctor added. Since there is no evidence that such products change the structure of DNA and the human gene.
Another fear is the electromagnetic fields of mobile phones. Ulankina stated that this happened after the WHO included them in the list of potential carcinogens.
At the same time, at the time of entry there was no clear evidence, but later in the course of scientific research it turned out that the waves generated by mobile phones are too weak to break down DNA.
