The director of the branch of the West Ural Mining Technical School in Osa was found guilty of forging an official document on education, which allows to receive a deferment from mobilization. This is reported by the Perm Regional Court.
According to investigators, in October last year, a man approached the director of the technical school, who asked for a certificate stating that his son is a student of this educational institution. The certificate was necessary for presentation to the military enlistment office in order to acquire a deferment from mobilization.
The head of the branch issued this certificate on the letterhead of the technical school, certifying it with her signature and seal. From the certificate it followed that the young man entered the full-time-correspondence form of education.
The court found the woman guilty and sentenced her to imprisonment for a period of three months. At the same time, the convict refused to admit her guilt, believing that the certificate is informational in nature and is not an official document. The head of the branch and her defense tried to challenge the verdict in court, but he upheld it.
