The director of the Institute of General Genetics was fired after speaking about diseases due to sins
Director Alexander Kudryavtsev was removed from his post at the Institute of General Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences after he said that mutations were caused by sins. The Ministry of Education and Science reported this.
According to the department, after Kudryavtsev’s dismissal, the post was taken by Doctor of Biological Sciences Andrei Misyurin.
In 2023, Kudryavtsev spoke at the scientific and theological conference “God – Man – World”. There he stated that people once lived for 900 years, citing graphs from the Internet. Also, the ex-director of the IOGEN RAS said that sins are one of the causes of mutations that cause genetic diseases in humans.
