President Vladimir Putin and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin launched train traffic along the fourth Moscow Central Diameter (MCD-4). The route connected the Zheleznodorozhny microdistrict in Balashikha with Aprelevka in the Naro-Fominsk district of the Moscow region. Mr. Putin said that a decision had been made to implement a large-scale modernization program for the entire Central Transport Hub.
“As a result, the diameters of the above-ground metro will be extended to Kaluga and Tula, and to other large cities in the regions surrounding Moscow. The flagship project will also be the construction of high-speed railways: at the first stage – between Moscow, Tver, Veliky Novgorod and St. Petersburg, and then – between the capital and other cities of the country,” the president said (quoted from website Kremlin).
Vladimir Putin also took part in the launch of traffic on Bagration Avenue (the northern backup of Kutuzovsky Avenue), the southern section of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter from Entuziastov Highway to the 32nd km of the Moscow Ring Road. Bagration Avenue is a toll road without traffic lights, which should relieve congestion on Kutuzovsky Avenue and Mozhaiskoe Highway. Tariffs for the project depending on the time of day vary from 600 to 1200 rub.
Yesterday, September 8, the president launched traffic on new sections of the M-12 Vostok highway: now you can travel from Moscow to Arzamas at a speed of 110 km/h in three to four hours, paying a toll of just under 3 thousand rubles. At the same time, the Moscow City Hall opened traffic on the eastern section of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter, adjacent to M-12.
Details – in the material “Kommersant” “The route to the east has been opened for motorists”.
