The development of sports in Pomorye was discussed in the Ustyansk “Malinovka”. The event was held for the first time after a seven-year break. More than 50 representatives of the region’s sports sector took part. Among them are the leadership and specialists of the Ministry of Sports of the region and its subordinate institutions, as well as representatives of Arkhangelsk, Severodvinsk, Kotlas, Koryazhma, Nyandoma, Krasnoborsky, Onega, Ustyansky, Vinogradovsky, Plesetsky, Kargopolsky districts and districts.

The meeting participants discussed changes in the preparation of a sports reserve, the development of mass sports and elite sports in municipalities, the renewal of sports infrastructure, the need to pay more attention to adaptive sports in municipalities, and many other topics.

Within the framework of the board, the winners and prize-winners of the 56th White Sea Games among urban districts were awarded. The winner of these competitions was Severodvinsk, the silver medalist – Koryazhma, in third place – Novodvinsk.

As Andrei Bagretsov noted, the Ustyansky district was not chosen by chance as the venue for the collegium. Representatives of the municipalities not only took part in the meeting of the board, but also examined the sports infrastructure, from the world-class ski-roller track in Malinovka to the modern Ice Palace in Bereznik.

According to the regional Ministry of Sports, during the collegium, Andrey Bagretsov presented Alexander Penyevsky with a letter of thanks for his great contribution to the development of physical culture and sports in the Arkhangelsk region.
