Niantic, known as the developer of Pokemon Go, introduced augmented reality glasses of our own design.
A feature of the accessory is the latest Snapdragon AR2 Gen 1 chip, developed by Qualcomm specifically for augmented reality glasses. The processor has become more compact and more energy efficient than the previous generation chip while increasing power.
The new augmented reality glasses work in conjunction with the user’s smartphone and a special controller, which are wirelessly connected into a single set. The work of the accessory was demonstrated in a corporate video, but Niantic did not disclose technical details.
