Kommersant FM columnist Alexander Levi talks about how the company uses original advertising tools to stir up interest in the electric SUV, the start of sales of which has been somewhat delayed.

Tesla has introduced a new product to its online store, and it’s not an electric car. This is beer. The drink, called Tesla CyberBeer, is only available in a Limited Edition set worth $150. The set includes two bottles of light alcohol and a pair of matte black ceramic mugs. The design of the new products is inspired, as the name suggests, by the angular appearance of the Cybertruck electric SUV.

There are no space technologies for beer production or special processes invented by Tesla. It’s a regular lager with European hops that the makers say have notes of herbs and spices, as well as more prominent aromas of tea and citrus. The beer is also brewed and bottled not by Tesla, but by the Californian company Buzzrock Brewing Co. This limited edition set is only available in North America.

The Cybertruck electric SUV was introduced to the world, let me remind you, four years ago. And the start of deliveries was scheduled for autumn 2021. In July this company announced the launch of the conveyor. But it seems that the delayed start of official sales, and with it the interest in the electric car, has to be regularly stirred up.

Recently, a little-known Russian-speaking blogger declassified the design of the Cybertruck’s interior. According to the foreign press, the video was filmed and sounds as if the person should not have been inside the electric car at all.

Before this, Tesla, instead of popular advertising tools, loaded several of its electric pickup trucks onto a car carrier and simply rolled them along public roads. People passing by took photos and videos and thereby viralized them on social networks.

Against this background, beer may seem somewhat inappropriate. But it’s worth recalling that the manufacturer of electric cars, charging stations and energy storage solutions recently launched a Cybertruck-style cat bed for sale. The cost of a cardboard construction set from Tesla is $13.
