Deputy Chairman of the Duma Defense Committee Yuri Shvytkin suggested that canceling the ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty would be “an absolutely correct decision” for Russia, reports “Gazeta.Ru“.
The withdrawal of ratification will help ensure Russia’s security, taking into account the fact that this treaty has not been ratified by the United States, Shvytkin said.
The deputy also recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about the successful tests of the Burevestnik missile.
