Deputy head of the Central Election Commission Nikolai Bulaev highly praised the quality of elections in the Russian capital, as well as the high turnout of voters at the polling stations. He stated this during a video call with members of the Moscow City Election Commission.
“I think that this is a dense turnout, a record turnout in the Moscow mayoral elections,” Bulaev said.
According to him, such indicators are a merit of the work of the entire Moscow team, the legislative and executive authorities, as well as the mayor of the city himself. He noted that it was they who did everything to ensure that citizens came to the elections and cast their votes.
Earlier, the deputy head of the Central Election Commission congratulated the current mayor of Moscow on his victory. According to preliminary calculations from online voting, Sobyanin received more than two million votes. Second place, tentatively, is currently occupied by Gennady Zyuganov.
