The defendant in the case of beating a member of the SVO was persuaded to surrender by the prosecutor

The prosecutor of the Nerchinsko-Zavodsky district convinced a 43-year-old man who was wanted in connection with the accusations of beating a participant in a special operation to surrender to law enforcement officers. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the regional prosecutor’s office.

Earlier it was reported that the third person involved in the case of beating a member of the SVO surrendered to the police. The accused himself came to law enforcement officers on Sunday morning, currently, investigative actions are being carried out against him. They’ve been looking for him all last week. The Nerchinsko-Zavodskoy District Court of the Trans-Baikal Territory issued a decision to arrest the man in absentia.

According to RIA Novosti, before the arrest, the accused himself contacted the prosecutor of the Nerchinsko-Zavodsky district. Tom managed to convince the man to surrender to law enforcement agencies, after which the prosecutor himself handed over the accused to the police, where he was taken into custody.

Earlier, two other defendants in the case were detained. All three are involved in a criminal case initiated under Part 2 of Art. 208.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for discrediting the Russian army, the maximum punishment is up to 15 years in prison. In addition, 2 more criminal cases are being conducted against these persons. Earlier it was reported that a member of the SVO who lost his leg was beaten in a cafe in the Trans-Baikal Territory. According to the telegram channel Mash, the conflict occurred because the attackers wanted to take the awards. The victim’s car was also damaged.

As a result of the attack, the victim’s health was slightly harmed. The amount of material damage, according to the investigation, amounted to more than 800 thousand rubles.
