Ivanovo athlete Kavina Vasilisa joined the Russian national team in universal combat, thanks to her successful performance at the Russian Championship among boys and girls 12-13 years old and 14-15 years old, which took place in Murmansk from March 11 to 17.
More than 300 athletes from 37 regions of the country took part in the competition. Vasilisa represented the Ivanovo region and the VITYAZ club in the weight category over 52 kg.
Having confidently passed the preliminary bouts with a minimal advantage (2:1), she lost to the athlete from Tver in the final. Thus, she won the silver award at the Russian Championship in Universal Fighting and became a member of the Russian national team.
