The dates for the 27th International Meeting of Balloonists and the 28th Russian Ballooning Championship have been determined in Velikiye Luki. As the administration of the city of Velikie Luki told MK in Pskov, a preliminary program of sports events has already been created, and indicative data have been determined.
It is assumed that the meeting of balloonists can be held from June 11 to 17, 2023. The Championship will be organized by the Aeronautical Sports Federation of Russia, the government of the Pskov region and municipal authorities. It should be noted that hot air balloon competitions in Velikiye Luki are included in the unified calendar plan of the Russian Ministry of Sports and are a rating competition for Russian pilots.
PJSC Gazprom will become the general sponsor of the International Meeting of Balloonists in the city on Lovat. Residents of all settlements of the Pskov region and other subjects of the Russian Federation are invited to join the event.
