The US Supreme Court has set a date for hearing Trump’s challenge to the Colorado primaries.

On February 8, the US Supreme Court will consider the complaint of former US President and presidential candidate Donald Trump, who appealed in connection with the denial of access to the primary elections in Colorado.

Previously, these states did not allow Trump to participate in the Republican primaries in Colorado and Maine, which are scheduled for March 5. At the same time, the implementation of both decisions is suspended until the verdict of the US Supreme Court. The parties are ordered to submit their arguments to the Supreme Court by January 18.

A court in Colorado cited Trump’s alleged involvement in the “insurrection” – the storming of the Capitol on January 6, 2021 – as a reason for not admitting Trump. He is charged with “conspiracy to defraud the United States,” “conspiracy to interfere with official proceedings,” “interference and attempted interference with official proceedings,” and “conspiracy against rights.”

Trump has repeatedly stated that he is innocent of any of the episodes incriminated against him.
