The Czech Republic launched an investigation into the work of Raiffeisen Bank in Russia

The National Center for Combating Terrorism of the Czech Republic launched an investigation against the Austrian Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI), which continues to work on the Russian market. This is reported by Czech Television (Česká televize).
It is noted that the local Association for the Rights of Citizens and Entrepreneurs applied to law enforcement agencies with a corresponding request. Its representatives noted that the bank receives “huge profits”, which, through taxes paid in the Russian Federation, go to finance the conduct of a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine.
The Czech police did not provide further information on how the investigation is progressing. Earlier, RBI stated that they were studying the option of selling the Russian division or withdrawing it from the group’s structure, but at the same time, the bank did not name the exact dates, counting on an early end to the Ukrainian conflict.
