The Czech court acquitted the Russian Franchetti accused of espionage

The Prague City Court dropped all charges against Russian Alexander Franchetti, who was previously accused of creating an organized criminal group (OCG) in Sevastopol.
His lawyer informedthat he should be released today.
Franchetti, as a participant in the Crimean Spring, was detained in the fall of 2021 at the Prague airport at the request of Ukraine. Kyiv accused the man of allegedly engaging in intelligence activities in favor of Russia, which led to the annexation of Crimea in 2014. Franchetti called all the accusations against him false.
Judicial sitting took place in the Ruzyn pre-trial detention center, where the Russian was kept.
