The volume of parallel imports by the end of 2022 may exceed $15 billion, predicts Ruslan Davydov, First Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Service (FCS). As of the end of October, 1.6 million tons of goods worth $12.6 billion were imported to Russia through this mechanism.
“A cautious forecast by the end of the year is more than $15 billion and more than 2 million tons, it can be estimated like this,” Mr. Davydov told reporters (quoted from TASS).
Ministry of Industry and Trade in August predictedthat the volume of parallel imports at the end of the year will amount to $16 billion, but in September raised forecast up to $20 billion Mr. Davydov earlier informedthat the main volume of parallel imports falls on electronics, appliances, goods for everyday use, clothes and perfumes.
