The mayor of Chisinau, Ion Ceban, won the election of the head of the city, reported Cheban on Facebook (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
“MAN [партия “Движение национальной альтернативы”] won in Chisinau. On behalf of myself and the entire team, I sincerely thank all residents. There were manipulations, fraud and numerous attempts to rig elections in favor of the ruling party,” he wrote.
The National Alternative Movement (MAN), led by Ceban, wins the largest number of seats on the municipal council. According to the Central Election Commission, after processing 99.67% of the protocols, Cheban gains 50.58% of the votes, in second place is the representative of the ruling Action and Solidarity party Lilian Karp with 28.27% of the votes, write “RIA News”.
