For employees of the emergency department, sports are an integral part of everyday life. For employees who rescue other people every day, it is necessary to maintain excellent physical shape.
The day before, in Smolensk, in Readovsky Park, cross-country skiing competitions were held among employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Smolensk region.
12 sports teams from all fire and rescue units in the region took to the ski track.
In a tense and dramatic struggle, the prizes were distributed in the following order.
In the overall team competition, 1st place was won by sports team No. 7, consisting of representatives of fire and rescue units 13 (Roslavl district), 15 (Desnogorsk city), 30 (Ershichi district) and 51 (Shumyachsky district). In 2nd place, sports team No. 12 of the 2nd specialized fire and rescue unit. 3rd place went to sports team No. 2, which included representatives of fire and rescue units 19 and 52 (Yartsevsky district), 28 (Dukhovshchinsky district) and 31 (Kardymovsky district).
In the individual competition, Yartsevo resident Sergei Ryabchenkov from the 19th fire and rescue unit took the lead. The silver cap went to his colleague Oleg Kuplenkov, also from the 19th fire and rescue unit. Bronze by Yuri Livakov from the Desnogorsk 15th fire and rescue unit.
