The Cup “For the will to win” was won by a Chukotka boxer at the competition

Chukotka juniors won silver and bronze at the Livadia Ring interregional boxing competition. The best results at the tournament were shown by 13-year-old Ansar Zhunusov. In addition to the medal, he received a cup “For the will to win,” reports Chukotka news agency.
The final fights of the tournament took place on September 16, the final day of the competition. On this day, 29 couples performed in the ring. The Chukotka boxer fought in the age category of 13-14 years and weight 50 kg. In the fight for the gold medal, he met with an opponent from Vladivostok – the champion of Primorye and two-time medalist of the Far Eastern Federal District Ramazon Buranov.
“Ansar fought with dignity, stood for three rounds of three minutes. He lost on points, which were awarded for blows with soft gloves to the head or body. Moreover, the lag was not strong. I note that 13-year-old Ansar has been boxing for only six months, and his opponent has been boxing for six years,” said boxing coach Balkozha Baitleuov.
As a result of the meeting, the Chukotka boxer won a silver medal. For his demonstrated endurance, he was awarded the cup “For the will to win.”
Another athlete from the regional capital, 13-year-old Daniil Anye, became a semi-finalist and took third place. In the fight for reaching the final, he lost in an even fight to the two-time winner of the Far Eastern Federal District championship from the Khabarovsk Territory. Three more Chukotka boxers dropped out in the quarterfinals of the competition.
Let us remind you that the interregional tournament “Livadia Ring” was held from September 11 to 16. According to the organizers, 210 athletes took part in it. These are representatives of Chukotka, Primorsky, Khabarovsk, Kamchatka territories, the Jewish Autonomous and Amur regions, Yakutia, Sakhalin and Belarus.
