The American spacecraft Crew Dragon with Russian cosmonaut Konstantin Borisov returned to Earth from the International Space Station, reported “Roscosmos”. The crew’s expedition to the ISS lasted 199 days.
The Crew Dragon ship splashed down off the coast of Florida in the USA at 12:47 Moscow time. Together with Konstantin Borisov, NASA astronaut Jasmine Moghbeli, ESA astronaut Andreas Mogensen and JAXA astronaut Satoshi Furukawa returned to Earth.
Roscosmos cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko, Nikolai Chuba and Alexander Grebenkin, as well as NASA astronauts Loral O’Hara, Matthew Dominick, Michael Barratt and Jeanette Epps remained at the station.
On August 27, 2023, Crew Dragon with the crew of the Crew-7 mission docked to the ISS. For Konstantin Borisov this was the first flight. His participation in the expedition was implemented within the framework of an agreement between Roscosmos and NASA on cross-flights, signed in July 2022. Mr. Borisov became the 23rd Russian cosmonaut to fly on an American spacecraft.
On March 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with the head of Roscosmos, Yuri Borisov. They discussed preparations for a new mission on the International Space Station (ISS).
