Honored Artist of the RSFSR, Professor German Mazurin died on September 19 at the age of 91, the Russian Academy of Arts reported. Mr. Mazurin was the author of the main literary character of Sergei Mikhalkov’s book “Uncle Styopa”.

German Mazurin was born on August 10, 1932. For almost 70 years he has collaborated with domestic and foreign publishing houses. Illustrations from the book “Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn” are in the USA, in the Mark Twain Museum, many drawings are exhibited in Austria, Germany, France and China.
